The Chateau Montifaud Cognac XO Millenium opens the doors to the "Paradis" cellar, where the oldest cognacs are carefully stored. This cognac is crafted from eaux-de-vie distilled in an artisanal manner with a high presence of lees, aged first in French oak "roux" barrels before continuing maturation in "ancient" barrels.
Composed of eaux-de-vie aged far beyond the regulatory minimum requirements, this XO Cognac offers excellent value for money.
On the nose, it reveals aromas typical of old cognacs, such as dried fruits (apricot, currants), roasted almonds, and spices. On the palate, the tannins are delicate and smooth, with a velvety texture. The remarkably long finish reveals a subtle "rancio," combining both softness and power.
The Petite Champagne region, rich in limestone, ensures the quality of eaux-de-vie produced by renowned houses like Château de Montifaud, known for their traditional craftsmanship.
