The Cognac Paul Bocuse Reserve, launched in 1998, is an assemblage of Fine Champagne, meaning it contains at least 50% eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, with the remainder sourced from Petite Champagne. The designation "Réserve" indicates that this cognac has undergone aging similar to that of a VSOP, which is at least four years. The blending of the Champagne terroirs and the maturation process in French oak reflect a timeless approach to cognac production.

This cognac is part of H. Mounier and is the result of a partnership between the esteemed Mounier house and the famous chef Paul Bocuse. Utilizing quality eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, these bottles have become quite rare. Paul Bocuse, who passed away in 2018, was a champion of nouvelle cuisine, a style that emphasized fresh, high-quality ingredients and stunning presentation. Throughout his life, he received numerous accolades, including the Légion d'honneur, and was named "Chef of the Century" by the Culinary Institute of America. It is no surprise that such a connoisseur wanted to adorn a bottle of cognac with his name.
