Delamain, the cognac of connoisseurs.
Delamain is one of the oldest names in Cognac. Established in Jarnac for over 2 centuries, the Delamain family has preserved the independence, traditional character and craftsmanship of its house.
Delamain specializes in the trading and ageing of old cognacs from the Grand Champagne region: the first and best cru of Cognac.
Delamain's art lies in the selection, ageing and blending of the finest eaux-de-vie to produce cognacs with unique balance and characteristics.
L'Extra Delamain Cognac is a full-bodied, round Cognac, with a beautiful full, ripe, full-bodied maturity. It is the perfect expression of an old Grande Champagne cognac.
The Delamain Extra decanter's coat of arms comes from a plate produced by Henry Delamain, in his Dublin earthenware factory, for the wedding service of his nephew James to Marie Ranson, and bears the intertwined arms of the Delamain and Ranson families. James Delamain's marriage, celebrated in Jarnac on November 24, 1762, marked the beginning of the Delamains' involvement in the Cognac trade.
