Brana House preserves an exceptional craftsmanship passed down through generations, thus perpetuating this ancestral heritage. Following their father's passing in 1992, Martine and Jean decided to divide responsibilities: Jean took charge of the vineyard and wine, while Martine assumed responsibility for the distillery. She dedicates herself passionately to preserving and enriching this precious family tradition, continually innovating with a diverse range of fruits, spices, and botanicals.
For production, pears at their peak ripeness undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. Pear wine is then carefully stored away from air to prevent any alteration before distillation. This process occurs in red copper pot stills, a slow method that allows for strict control, ensuring the quality and finesse of the eau-de-vie.
The distillery exclusively uses pears sourced from local orchards, harvested by hand and meticulously selected before fermentation.
