The grapes used in the production of this cognac are exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions, known for their chalky soil and ideal growing conditions for the Ugni Blanc grape, which is used in the production of cognac.

The Hardy Cognac XO Rare Fine Champagne is distilled twice in small copper stills, which allows the spirit to develop its complex flavors and aromas. The cognac is then aged in Limousin oak casks, which imparts notes of vanilla and spice, as well as a subtle smokiness to the finished product.
