Celebrating our history
1865: the company is 100 years old and the occasion is too good not to celebrate the anniversary properly. A special cognac was created by Emile Fillioux at the request of Maurice Hennessy. This Cognac was served and offered to all the staff, family, friends and the best clients during a big banquet organized for the occasion. Today, Gilles Hennessy, Maurice Hennessy's great grandson, wanted to rediscover the original taste of this centennial Cognac to have the pleasure of offering it to connoisseurs.

"In 1865, my great-great-grandfather Emile Fillioux created a cognac with fresh and elegant notes whose finesse equals harmony. When I taste this edition of Private Reserve, I appreciate the subtle marriage of delicate floral aromas, vanilla pastry, followed by notes of candied fruit and refined scents of cedar and sandalwood. All these aromas form a harmonious aromatic palette, none dominates, all follow one another in the finesse and balance of this Cognac. Already a pioneer in the adoption of the bottle to replace barrels for shipments of its cognac, Hennessy innovated and created its first official label in 1865. It guarantees the authenticity and quality of the Cognac to all its customers. Today, this new edition of Hennessy Private Reserve pays tribute to this first label that personalizes the brand.
