Martell created Cordon Argent in the 1920s with the aim of making it their most prestigious cognac in their range. It wasn't until 1933 that the name Cordon Argent was actually used. Bottles from the 1930s and 1940s have a more rugged appearance with visible irregularities at the base, as seen in the photos, which gives them a charming appeal.
The eaux-de-vie are 60 years old.
US import by Garneau (post 1969).
