In 2018, Maison Martell forged a unique partnership with Quavo, the iconic rapper from the hip-hop group Migos and a major figure in the American music scene. As part of this collaboration, Quavo was presented with an extraordinary gift during his visit to Cognac: a 270-liter barrel filled with eaux-de-vie from his birth year, 1991. His name was chalked onto the barrel with the inscription “Huncho’s Barrel, 1991 Vintage.”
Like other cognac houses, Martell recognized the opportunity to elevate its image by partnering with artists from the music world, particularly in rap, where cognac has become a symbol of prestige and style. Following in the footsteps of other icons like Busta Rhymes and Pharrell, Quavo has established himself as an ambassador for the brand in the U.S., showcasing the growing influence of cognac in popular culture and modern consumer trends.
This limited-edition release reflects the fusion of tradition and modernity, where Martell’s centuries-old craftsmanship meets the energy and boldness of new generations.
