The exceptional XO Terre de Cognac Godet is a bold composition of the six emblematic terroirs of the Cognac region. For each terroir, we have meticulously selected the most precious eaux-de-vie, allowing them to age for a period ranging from 10 to 30 years in our cellars located in La Rochelle, bathed by the oceanic influence.
This decanter embodies all our expertise and symbolizes Godet's quest for the absolute. Each year, only a few dozen barrels are bottled to create this veritable work of art.
In doing so, we pay tribute to the 80,000 hectares of exceptional vineyards in the Cognac region. XO Terre is the result of the fusion of this unique wine-growing terroir, connected to the whole world since the 16th century thanks to the diffusion of eaux-de-vie by ocean. It celebrates Godet's international epic as an ambassador for cognac from its very beginnings.
The decanter, elegantly designed with motifs evoking Atlantic waves, evokes the great navigations and maritime culture that define the House of Godet. Slow aging in oak barrels gives this cognac its natural luminous golden hue, enhanced by deep mahogany highlights.
Its color is a luminous gold with deep mahogany highlights. Its aromatic bouquet combines spring floral notes with fruit aromas, gradually evolving towards richer scents of cinnamon and spices. On the palate, it seduces with a harmonious marriage of lively flavors, enlivened by fruity notes and complex nuances of leather, oak and pepper.
