In 1860, Raymond Ragnaud's family acquired a modest vineyard in Grande Champagne, renowned for the exceptional quality of its eaux-de-vie and their ageing process. In 1920, Paul Ragnaud settled at Château d'Ambleville, handing over the estate to his son Raymond in 1941. Raymond ran the estate and decided to market the eaux-de-vie he had inherited. In 1963, his wife, along with their children Françoise and Jean-Marie, extended the business to 47 hectares spread over three separate vineyards - Ambleville, Criteuil, and Lignières-Sonneville - located on the slopes of the Grande Champagne, an exceptional region producing eaux-de-vie of remarkable finesse.Over the last 30 years, Françoise Ragnaud-Bricq has preserved the tradition, overseeing the harvest with meticulous precision and unrivalled expertise.
Tasting notes :
The nose reveals peppery, musky, mushroom and candied fruit notes.
On the palate, the cuvée is characterised by exquisite smoothness, stewed white fruit and hints of mirabelle plum.
This smooth, mature eau-de-vie combines rigour and elegance for an exceptional sensory experience.
