Founded in 1858 by Amédée Edouard DOR, a connoisseur of distinguished Cognacs, Maison A.E. DOR presents Vieille Réserve No. 1 from 1893. With unwavering determination, DOR sought out and collected the finest cognacs and eaux-de-vie. After aging in oak barrels for decades (70 years or more), without any blending or additional ingredients, select eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, the premier cru of Cognac, were carefully gathered at the peak of their flavor. By law, any spirit must be at least 40% ABV to be called "cognac." However, in 1951, after extensive efforts, Mr. Deneuil, the founder's son-in-law, obtained a special and unique authorization to sell Maison A.E. DOR's aged stock under the "Cognac" appellation.
This very old "Hors d'Âge" Cognac comes from the A.E DOR family reserve, still aged in oak barrels. It is of exceptionally high quality, appreciated by connoisseurs.
